"What should I do?" - Appear in court. To skip court would be a BAD idea.

Bring with you your international drivers license and your license from home. Show them to the judge. Explain to the judge you showed them to the officer. Watch the judge yell at the officer. Go home happy.

the easiest thing to do is to pack up all of your stuff and go back to your own country.
